On the road today at the old alma mater - Texas A&M. Started the morning with a 5.5 mile run. Saw the Corps of Cadets in morning formation while passing the Quad. Brings back memories....
Knocked out a 5k this morning, and then hit a local pond for Bass. Small fish but still fun on the fly. Also, stocked up on Shad for a trip to the Tailrace. Hopefully, the Stripers will be cooperative.
Friday is here. Back in town. Back running familiar routes. Went for a 5 mile run to mail a letter. Mailbox is 2.3 miles from the house; took a different route back to make up the difference. Feet and knee joints are well, shoes are still making a difference. Looking forward to another great weekend - hopefully back at the Tailrace for Striped Bass.
Keeping it real, making it happen, another 3.5 mile run to remind me how much I would like to stop running. Still active, still motivated, still breathing....
Another Monday has rolled in. Luckily was able to hit the Tailrace for Striped Bass fishing Sunday morning; mostly small fish but did manage to catch one that went 20.5" - hooray! But now its back to work, but not before a 3.5 mile run.
Managed to get a 5k in before the rains hit. Maintained a steady pace with no issues with the knees and feet. Shoes make a difference! Still planning on hitting the Tailrace for some Striped Bass. May need to adjust tactics given the rain. Cross my fingers weather clears tomorrow.
